Attraverso un comunicato stampa Sony ha annunciato ufficialmente di aver venduto più di 70.6 milioni di PlayStation 4 in tutto il mondo, mentre il PlayStation VR è a più di 2 milioni di unità.
Più di 70.6 milioni di PlayStation 4 vendute!
Di seguito tutti i dati relativi alle vendite rilasciate da Sony:
- il 3 dicembre Sony ha raggiunto quota 70.6 milioni di console vendute
- il 3 dicembre Sony ha raggiunto quota 617.8 milioni di giochi venduti
- il 3 dicembre Sony ha raggiunto quota 2 milioni di PS VR venduti.
- Il 3 dicembre Sony ha raggiunto quota 12.2 milioni di giochi venduti dedicati al PS VR

“I cannot thank our fans and partners enough. Their support, since the launch of very first PlayStation in 1994, has helped to make PlayStation one of the biggest console gaming networks in the world. We will continue to work closely with partners to maintain this momentum and remain steadfast in making PS4 the best place to play.” On the software front, PS4’s portfolio will continue to expand with an array of games including God of War, Detroit: Become Human, Spider-Man, Shadow of Colossus, Dreams, Days Gone (SIE WWS), Far Cry 5 (Ubisoft) and Monster Hunter: World (Capcom).
Currently there are more than 130 highly anticipated games and video contents in development for PS VR to be launched by the end of 2018, including The Inpatient and Bravo Team (SIE WWS), utilizing the unique VR experience.
SIE will continue to further expand both PS4 and PS VR to deliver entertainment experiences that are only possible on PlayStation.
